Health Fund for Children (HF4C) Celebrates 4th Anniversary

This June marked a significant milestone for HF4C as we celebrated our fourth anniversary as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Over the past four years, your generous contributions have enabled us to provide critical healthcare access to children in need across our community. Every success story is a testament to your support and our shared commitment to ensuring no child goes without the care they deserve.

With a focus on transparency, 85% of every dollar donated goes directly to helping children, with only 15% allocated to administrative and fundraising expenses, as noted by the South Carolina Secretary of State Charities Division.

Fundraising and Current Efforts

Our annual holiday campaign has been the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts, helping countless children receive medical care they might not otherwise afford.

Right now, we are rallying support for Cristian, a young boy in urgent need of a $40,000 heart procedure. Your donations could be life-changing for Cristian and his family.

Children We’ve Helped in 2024

This year, your kindness has already made a profound difference:

• Young girl with a bone disorder: Frequent ER visits have been replaced with comprehensive care at Shriners Hospital, where she now receives ongoing treatment and resources.
• Young girl requiring an echocardiogram: Her test results revealed normal heart function, sparing her further invasive follow-ups and giving her family peace of mind.
• Preteen boy with profound hearing loss: A pediatric ENT identified the cause of his condition through a CT scan, opening doors to treatment that could improve his quality of life.

Looking Ahead

Looking forward, HF4C remains dedicated to fundraising for Cristian’s heart procedure while continuing to assist children in need of medical, dental, and psychological care.

In addition, we aim to expand our outreach programs and create partnerships with local healthcare providers to better identify and assist children who require urgent attention. We’re also exploring ways to streamline our support application process, making it easier for families to receive help when they need it most.
Together, we can ensure that every child has access to the care they need to grow, thrive, and dream big.
